new nephew

It has been so long since I last blogged. Things are going good. My trip to Montana was good. Long but good. It was so great to see my sisters and to get to meet my new nephew. The day before Tara had the baby they did an ultrasound because she had had contractions for 3 days and was only dilated to a 2. She was not making progress at all so the ultrasound was done to see what was going on. They estimated the baby to be around 8 lbs. and they were concerned that he would get stuck if she tried to do it naturally (She is only 4'12"tall) . So they scheduled her for a C-section the next morning. We were up at 4:30am :/ and had to be there at 5:15am. When we got there they got her all hooked up with ivy's and all that jazz. She then started to get scared. While we were sitting there trying to take her mind off of it her dad showed up. I was SOOOO glad he came as we didn't think he would. But he didn't help much as he started to get very emotional which made Tara emotional and scared all over again. :( It was a tough morning. At 8am little Ethan was born weighing 8 lbs 4 oz. and was 20 in. long. He is so big and cute!!! he has his daddy's chin and Tara's eyes. Tara and John (daddy) are both red head, blue eyes and freckles so it was pretty much set that this one was going to be the same. :) He has a full head of dark hair and is very healthy.

Tara is doing good now. She is home and able to walk around a little now. She tried breast feeding but she got frustrated within a couple days and Ethan was having a hard time with his sucking reflex so she decided to just go with the bottle. Plus, she has to go back to work in a few weeks and that would be hard to pump enough milk. :( I am so happy for them!!!!
Other then that not much is going on. Just unpacking and trying to catch up on rest. Our little one has finally been moving. Not much still but at least she is moving. Every night before dinner she likes to stick her knee or elbow out right above my belly button and push as hard as she can. I have been having heart burn really bad so that has been annoying but other then that things are good. For those who don't know I am now 22 weeks. Crazy!!!!
The boys are good. Before I left for MT Easton had 2 more teeth break through. He is still sleeping through the night off and on. He just can't seem to make up his mind. :) Hopefully that will change soon and he will sleep all night every night. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Kadin has been busy playing with his friends. Every day after lunch he goes out and plays until it is dinner time. He has a blast. Last night he woke up with a bad cough around 12:30 or so and then again at 4. he seems fine today so far. A little cough here and there but nothing like it was last night. Weird, but hopefully it was just a little case of something and that was the worst of it.
Josh is doing good. Not much going on with him. Just work. He did however have a blast when he went caving. He showed me the video that he took when he was up there and it looks like they had fun.
Well, I better get moving. Hope everyone has a good day!

Thanks for your description of Tara's birth, I've been curious. I'm glad everything went smoothly with the C-Section and Tara and Ethan are both safe and sound. :)
